Please donate to Hurricane Katrina disaster relief

As a Hurricane Andrew survivor and having grown up in South Louisiana, I can tell you that the folks in New Orleans and Southern Mississippi will need your help in the coming days. They will be faced with a loss of clean water, power, telephone and other utilities and possibly loss of housing and clothing. If you've never experienced a hurricane, it is difficult to describe the aftermath.

The Red Cross was instrumental in getting supplies and other aid to people in need in the aftermath of Andrew. They were especially helpful to getting aid to my parents and grandparents.

If you do not feel comfortable donating to the Red Cross, please donate to the disaster relief effort of your choice.
